Document scannersDocument scanners are used to scan documents to a computer. The scanned document is then saved as an image (jpeg or jpg picture) onto disk drive, CD, DVD or to a server. A scanned document can also be printed or emailed to other users. Hand-hand document scannerA handheld document scanner is portable and can be carried around. The user would place the scanner on the page and move it down manually. The quality is good but the process is slow and is not recommended for daily use. Flatbed scannerFlatbed scanners are good for scanning individual pages, some flat bad scanners have Automatic Document Feeders (ADF) which would enable a user to scan several pages, saving time.
